Welcome to Tech Club, where we believe technology should work for people, not the other way around.

Tech Club is a place to learn, ask questions, share experiences, and occasionally discover that the button you were looking for has been hiding in plain sight the whole time.

Ask Questions

There are no stupid questions here. If you're wondering about something, chances are someone else is too.

Be Respectful

Disagreements are fine. Personal attacks are not. We can debate technology without debating each other's worth as human beings.

One Microphone at a Time

Give everyone a chance to speak. Screen readers, hearing aids, internet delays, and life in general all work better when we're not talking over one another.

Mute When You're Not Speaking

Please keep yourself muted when you're not actively participating. This helps reduce background noise from televisions, conversations, pets, lawn equipment, keyboard chatter, and the occasional smoke detector that has chosen today to announce its need for a battery.

Protect Your Privacy

Never share passwords, verification codes, banking information, Social Security numbers, or anything else you wouldn't want posted on a billboard.

Stay on Topic

We'll do our best to answer questions, but the featured topic comes first. General tech questions are welcome during Q&A.

No Sales Pitches

Tech Club is not a marketplace. If you spend more time selling than helping, you're in the wrong meeting.

Keep It Accessible

Describe visual information when possible. Be patient with different skill levels. Remember that accessibility helps everyone.

Technology Happens

Sometimes software breaks. Sometimes the internet breaks. Sometimes Apple, Microsoft, Google, or Meta decides today is the day. We'll figure it out together.

Have Fun

Learning technology can be frustrating enough. We don't need to make it any harder than it already is.
