Meet the Founder

Randy Reed

Randy Reed is the founder of Control Alt Access, a consulting and training company focused on accessibility, inclusion, and assistive technology. As a certified vision rehabilitation therapist and assistive technology specialist, Randy brings over a decade of professional experience and a lifetime of lived experience navigating the world as a blind individual.

Randy holds a Master’s in Blindness and Low Vision Studies from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University. They are certified through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals and have trained hundreds of consumers, educators, and professionals across the country in accessibility best practices.

Before launching Control Alt Access, Randy served in multiple leadership roles in the blindness community, including as president of the Sarasota Council of the Blind and secretary for the Manatee County Council of the Blind. They are passionate about removing access barriers through education, empathy, and hands-on guidance.

Randy started Control Alt Access to give individuals and organizations tools to make inclusion practical, flexible, and person-centered. Their philosophy is: people come first, systems come second—and accessibility should never be an afterthought.
